Ben Mulvey received his doctorate in philosophy with a specialization in applied ethics and political theory. He has been a full-time member of the NSU faculty since 1988. His two current research interests concern the ethical systems of classical antiquity and how they might be applied to contemporary issues in biomedical ethics, business organizations, civil society, and institutions of higher learning; and the relationships between human and non-human animals. Mulvey has taught Honors seminars such as The Nature of Truth and Genes and Schemes, and he has taught Honors sections of Biomedical Ethics.
