Florida Eta Chapter at Nova Southeastern University
Alpha Chi is a co-educational academic honor society with more than 289 chapters in the United States. It is the longest standing academic honor society on campus, promoting and honoring academic excellence and exemplary character among all undergraduate majors. Invitations are extended to less than three percent of all undergraduate students, who must meet strict academic and enrollment criteria to qualify for this honor.
Students who are eligible for membership will be invited to join once a year via print and email communications. To qualify for Alpha Chi, students must be currently enrolled juniors or seniors, complete a minimum of 24 credits at NSU, and be in the top 10 percent of their major.
Students who qualify for Alpha Chi are invited to an induction ceremony to recognize their outstanding academic achievement. Students receive a certificate of membership, a lapel pin and an honors cord to be worn at commencement (all included in the one-time, lifetime membership fee). Students may choose to purchase the Alpha Chi Medallion to wear at Commencement.
