Whether you want to make new friends, connect with faculty, or learn about unique topics, honors events are the perfect way to get involved beyond the classroom. We host a variety of social, cultural, and educational events each semester exclusively for honors students, including:
- Faculty-led workshops on trending, worldly topics

The Open Classroom
Learn about hot-topic issues through open discussions with experts from the field. Explore insightful perspectives rarely seen in the media and engage in insightful conversations. The Open Classroom is a collaboration between the Farquhar Honors College and the Alvin Sherman Library.
Distinguished Speaker Series
Hear from prominent leaders in diverse fields through engaging lectures. Past speakers include Spike Lee, Jamaica Kincaid, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Erin Brockovich, and more. Future speakers to be announced.
Undergraduate Student Symposium
