The CAHSS Intellectual Conversations series is based on the former Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences' Faculty Lecture Series, which began in 2006. Over the past 10 years, approximately 90 lectures and presentations have been delivered reflecting all aspects of the undergraduate faculty’s research interests, including the arts; humanities; and social, natural, and physical sciences. The intention is for faculty, students, staff, and visitors of the university to engage in a presentation and discussion on a topic drawn from a specific annual theme.

Distinguished Lecture Series

Hosted by NSU's H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship
These events are free and open to the public, but online registration may be required to attend.

The Distinguished Lecture Series (DLS) was established to inspire students by giving them a glimpse into the minds of successful and outstanding entrepreneurs and business leaders. Distinguished lecturers articulate lessons learned and provide insight into our often complex business world. Students and the business community benefit from discussions ranging from business ethics to the practical application of academic theory. The general format of the DLS is a presentation, followed by questions and answers, or the speaker may simply "tell their story" and allow our audience to pose questions thereafter.
