Christi Navarro, Ph.D., teaches courses in community health, mental health, and epidemiology. Her honors courses explore multidisciplinary perspectives and utilize scientific literature, popular media, and field expert presentations to lift the content off the pages. Navarro is an NSU alumna with an M.S. in Educational Leadership. She earned her B.S. in Biological Sciences, graduate certificate in Women's Studies, and Ph.D. in Public Health with a specialization in Health Promotion & Disease Prevention from Florida International University. Her experience and training are in program evaluation, research, health, education, and social service. Navarro implements, develops, and evaluates community-based programs that address health and risk behavior among youth.
