Dimitrios Giarikos is an inorganic and organometallic synthetic chemist, and his expertise ranges from the synthesis and elucidation of organic and organometallic molecules to inorganic and bioinorganic molecules. Giarikos teaches general chemistry and inorganic chemistry courses and has been teaching honors courses for more than 15 years. Giarikos has participated in many honors events, and he was chosen as the honors Spring Banquet faculty speaker in 2014 and served as one of the honors Spring Banquet master of ceremonies in 2018 and 2019. He has mentored honors students on thesis projects, partnered with students on research projects, and co-authored publications and presentations with students at local and national conferences.
