Eben Gering's research examines animal genetics, behavior, evolution, and diseases. He's especially interested in understanding how animals are influenced by human activities—including research questions about domesticated pets, feral populations, disease reservoirs, and invasive species. Outside the lab and classroom, he likes to work in ceramic and mixed-media arts.
