Our Faculty and Staff

Shanti Bruce’s books, ESL Writers: A Guide for Writing Center Tutors and Creative Approaches to Writing Center Work, were both honored with the International Writing Centers Association’s Outstanding Scholarship Award for Best Book. She also published What Every Multilingual Student Should Know About Writing for College and Tutoring Second Language Writers. Bruce is currently co-PI of a study titled “The Language Repertoires of First-Year Writers: A Cross-Institutional Study of Multilingual Writers,” which is funded by a Conference on College Composition and Communication Research Initiative Grant. Bruce enjoys teaching honors composition courses and interacting with honors students during preview workshops and banquet events and appreciates how the Honors College provides NSU students with opportunities to build unique student and faculty learning communities.
