Dr. Yvette Fuentes teaches a wide range of courses in Spanish language and literature and in the Humanities, in the Department of Humanities and Politics. Her research and teaching interests include Latin American, Caribbean, and Iberian Literatures and Cultures, in particular women's fiction and poetry, as well as U.S. Latino Literature and Culture. Her publications have appeared in such journals as Anthurium: A Caribbean Studies Journal, Camino Real: A Multidisciplinary Journal on U.S. Latino Studies, Caribe: Revista de Cultura y Literatura, Hispanic Research Journal, and Letras Femeninas. Dr. Fuentes serves as the Faculty advisor for NSU's Alpha Alpha Zeta chapter of Alpha Mu Gamma National Collegiate Foreign Language Honor Society.
