Having been a tutor in college, a drill sergeant in the Army, a course instructor in graduate school, and a career academic for many years, I always find time spent with my students to be enjoyable, refreshing, and inspiring. To me, teaching and research comprise an ecosystem where the two fuel each other. Some of my academic research topics even originated from classroom discussions. My research results often contribute greatly to flourishing my courses. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, restaurant-hunting, and watching horror movies.
